In Herculaneum, which suffered the same tragic destiny of Pompeii, numerous houses and villas can be visited (grouped in the famous “Insulae”, which could be compared to today’s apartment blocks), with their atria, rooms and frescoes, as well as important public, religious and gambling buildings.
