Scaliger Castle

This well-preserved castle is a rare example of a fortification on a lake, built in the mid-13th century at the behest of Verona’s podestà Mastino della Scala. In the spacious portico there is a Roman and mediaeval lapidarium. The wall walks are also open to visitors.
