Located near Pompeii, Oplontis was also buried following the eruption of 79 AD. Excavations brought to light several buildings, in particular: the Villa Poppaea (with the wonderful thermal room of the “Calidarium”), the rustic Villa of Lucius Crassius Tertius and the Villa of Caio Siculi.
