The Museum, housed in the deconsecrated Church of Sant’Egidio, is the emblem of Mediterranean culture. In addition to the precious statue capturing a moment of ecstasy, it exhibits the underwater heritage recovered in the Strait of Sicily: finds from the archaic, Hellenistic, Punic, Roman and mediaeval ages.
