Tuscany Food & Wine Tour

Day 1 :

Siena or Poggibonsi

Arrival in Siena/Poggibonsi area in late afternoon. Check-in at hotel. Welcome cocktail and dinner at hotel with Tuscan specialities. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 :

Chianti country/Siena or Poggibonsi

Departure after breakfast for Chianti country, reaching Greve in Chianti for visit to vineyard with splendid panoramic terrace overlooking the Greve Valley. Tasting session with 4 types of wine, visit to vineyard and cellars, followed by lunch with an ample variety of salami, Florence fennel, ham, sheep’s cheese and savoury toasts, ending with biscotti and dessert wine. After lunch visit to medieval village of Radda, major producer of Classic Chianti. Return to hotel in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3 :

Siena/Classic Chianti/Siena or Poggibonsi

Guided tour of Siena in morning, free time for lunch in centre of city. Departure after lunch for Brolio Castle, one of the historic symbols of Classic Chianti. Visit to gardens and Ricasoli family chapel, followed by full tour of wine cellars and tasting session with 3 types of wine accompanied by crackers. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 4 :

Monte Oliveto Maggiore/Montalcino/Pienza/Siena or Poggibonsi

Departure after breakfast for visit to famous abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, continuing afterwards to Montalcino, with visit and possibility of tasting session with local wines, including renowned Brunello. Lunch in traditional restaurant with local specialities. Transfer to Pienza with visit to town square and cathedral. Free time. Return to Siena for dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5 :

Siena/San Gimignano/Siena or Poggibonsi

Morning free for visit to Siena. Free time for lunch. Departure in early afternoon for San Gimignano, guided visit and time for last purchases of traditional Tuscan produce: wine, olive oil, salami and cheese. Gourmet dinner in traditional restaurant. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 6 :

Return

Breakfast and end of our services.
