Emilia Romagna Food & Wine Tour

Day 1 :

Destination Italy

Arrival in Parma area in late afternoon. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2 :

Culinary excellences/Mamiano

Visit in morning to a producer of Reggio Emilia Parmesan cheese with tasting session, followed by visit and tasting at a producer of famous Parma ham. Continues in late morning to Mamiano with visit to Magnani Rocca Foundation to admire masterpieces by artists like Van Gogh, Titian and Dürer. Free time for relaxing strolls in vast park. Visit to mediaeval castle of Torrechiara. Dinner in traditional local restaurant. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3 :

Blogna

Departure after breakfast for Bologna. Free tour of FICO (different options available – see our FICO page), the largest agri-food park in the world. Free time for lunch at one of 45 eateries. In the afternoon, guided tour of the city centre of Bologna before heading towards Rimini. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

San Leo

Departure for San Leo with visit to castle and small but very picturesque town centre. Continues afterwards to a nearby estate with extensive vineyards and wine cellars. Snack and wine tasting. Afternoon free. Dinner in traditional restaurant with local specialities, including piada bread, home-made pasta, meat, desserts and local wine. Overnight stay in hotel at Rimini.

Day 5 :

Rimini

Tour of Rimini’s indoor food market, which houses the largest fish market in Emilia-Romagna, followed by departure for nearby countryside with visits to old towns and tiny villages rich in traditions and customs, with fairs and festivals at certain times of year with music, entertainments, antiques markets and sale of local products like piada, wine and honey. Dinner by candlelight with Adriatic fish at hotel in Rimini.

Day 6 :

Return

Breakfast and end of our services.
