Day 1 :

Arrival Malta/La Valletta - Half Day

Arrival at Malta’s airport. You will meet the guide for half day tour of Valletta by private bus._x000D_
Valletta is abundantly rich in sites to see and explore, intriguing historical buildings around every corner: votive statues, niches, fountains and coats of arms high up on parapets. Narrow side streets are full of tiny quaint shops and cafés, while Valletta’s main streets are lined with larger international branded shops for fashion, music, jewellery and much more._x000D_
Our guided tour through the vibrant streets of Valletta will allow you to discover the beauty and charm of the fortified city built by the Knights in 1566. The Order of St John ruled over the islands for 268 years and left a unique cultural legacy of which Valletta is the prime example. We first enjoy a breath-taking view of the natural harbour Valletta namely The Grand Harbour from the Upper Barrakka Gardens. _x000D_
We shall then take a walk to the Roman Catholic co-cathedral dedicated to Saint John the Baptist – St John’s Co-Cathedral, where one can also find the Caravaggio masterpieces in the Oratory and the Flemish tapestries. The Co-Cathedral houses one of the most beautiful marble inlaid floors in the world. Going down Republic Street one can see will the Grand Masters’ Palace which can be found at the recently restored St. George’s Square. This was built between the 16th and 18th centuries as the palace of the Grand Master of the Order of St. John, who ruled Malta, and was also known as the Magisterial Palace. It eventually became the Governor’s Palace, and it currently houses the Office of the President of Malta. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 :

Mdina/Rabat/Mosta - Full Day

Breakfast at the hotel. Today’s excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. On the way there, you will discover different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Time stands still in this ‘Silent City’ which is a film-maker’s paradise. Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, we pass by some of the most prominent features of Malta’s early Christianity archaeology the catacombs of St. Paul in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli being the highest point in Malta (280 meters), which provides spectacular views of the surrounding cliffs and the sea below._x000D_
In the afternoon we visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, allow us to astound you with Mosta’s majestic dome, one of Europe’s largest. Lunch in restaurant. Dinner and overnight in hotel._x000D_

Day 3 :

Gozo - Full Day

Breakfast at the hotel. After a short twenty-minute ferry crossing you will reach Mgarr harbour, which immediately sets the pace to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. From Mgarr Harbour we proceed to Gozo’s capital city, Victoria, where you can shop around for some souvenirs and visit the medieval citadel, with its distinctive skyline and imposing military architecture. The ancient fortified city stands out as Gozo’s major landmark, a beacon visible from all over the island. We shall then proceed to the fjord-like bay at Xlendi, a sea-side resort located on the south west of the Island. We continue our tour by visiting the inland sea of Dwejra and the former Azure Window which was a 28-metre-tall (92 ft) natural arch on the island. Gozo is well known for its crafts, particularly handmade lace and knitted garments. Visitors cannot fail to be impressed by the island’s lush countryside, it’s serene atmosphere and how different it is from the larger island of Malta. Lunch in restaurant. Then contintue the visit to the UNESCO-listed Ggantija temples. As you marvel at the megalithic temples, hear how they were erected during the Neolithic Age, more than 5,550 years ago. Not only are they older than the Egyptian Pyramids and England’s Stonehenge, but they are the second-oldest religious structures in the world, after Gobekli Tepe in Turkey.

Day 4 :

Cities - Half Day

Breakfast at the hotel. The Three Cities can rightly claim to be the cradle of Maltese history. Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530, have provided a home and fortress to almost every people who settled on the Islands. Driving past Cospicua we reach Vittoriosa for a walking tour through the narrow streets, in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langues of the Order. From the Senglea Garden, situated at the tip of the peninsula, enjoy a stunning 360° view of the Grand Harbour, including the impressive Fort Sant Angelo from where Grand Master La Valette led the defence of the island during the Great Siege of 1565. Enjoy then a short ride aboard a typical Maltese boat Back to the hotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 5 :

Leave Malta

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Malta airport by private bus.
