Day 1 :

Barcelona

Arrival at Barcelona airport, met by the coach and guide. Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Barcelona

Full board in hotel and full day devoted to a guided visit of the city, with visits to the Barri Gòtic, the old fishing quarter, with the Cathedral, the Plaça Reial, the Picasso Museum and the Archaeology Museum (with admission optional), and the typical Pi Quarter. Afternoon dedicated to the buildings designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, including the Sagrada Familia, the Casa Batllò, the Pedrera and the Parc Güell. Return to hotel in evening.

Day 3 :

Barcelona/Montserrat/Barcelona

Breakfast in hotel and departure for guided visit to the famous Santa Maris de Montserrat monastery. Lunch in a restaurant and return to Barcelona, with afternoon free for visits or shopping. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Barcelona/Zaragoza/Madrid

Breakfast in hotel and departure, stopping at Zaragoza for a short guided visit to the city, with lunch in a restaurant, and then continuing to Madrid, with arrival in the late afternoon. Check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Madrid

Full board in hotel and full day dedicated to a guided visit of the city, starting from the Puerta del Sol in the centre of the capital and then visiting the Plaza Mayor and continuing to the Royal Palace for a guided visit to the interior. Stroll in the afternoon along the Gran Via, the city’s main shopping street, and possibility of visiting the splendid Prado Museum and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, with admission optional. Return to hotel in evening.

Day 6 :

Madrid/Ávila/Segovia/Madrid

Breakfast in hotel and departure for a guided visit to two cities close to Madrid, both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Ávila, famous for its associations with Torquemada of the Spanish Inquisition, and enclosed by a ring of walls dating back to the 11th century, and Segovia, with many important monuments, like the Roman Aqueduct, the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Plaza Mayor. Lunch in a restaurant in one of the two cities and return to hotel in Madrid for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 :

Madrid/Toledo/Valencia

Breakfast and departure for Toledo. Guided visit to the city, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its typical quarters of Santa Teresa and Santa Maria de Benquerencia, and visits to the Cathedral, Synagogue and the Alcazar. Lunch in a restaurant and departure for Valencia, with arrival in evening. Check-in at hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 :

Valencia

Breakfast in hotel and departure for guided visit to Valencia, starting from the old city centre with the Cathedral and the Miguelete Belltower, over 50 metres high, and the Mercado Central. Return to hotel for lunch, followed by afternoon visit to the City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanogràfic Park (both with admission optional). Traditional dinner in the evening with paella, Valencia’s best-known speciality and now emblematic for everything Spanish. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9 :

Valencia

Breakfast in hotel transfer to airport for boarding procedures and departure.
