Basilica of Saint Francis / Bacci Chapel

The basilica is particularly well known for its “Legends of the True Cross” fresco cycle by Piero della Francesca in the Bacci Chapel. The basilica’s interior, with only one nave, is spacious with various chapels on the left and, on the right, niches with decorations dating back to the 14th century.
