Opened in 1620, the Royal Palace comprises the historic residence, the adjacent garden and the art gallery. The internal gallery houses more than 200 paintings by 17th-century Genoese artists such as Bernardo Strozzi, Grechetto, Giovyears Battista Gaulli, known as Baciccio, and Domenico Fiasella.
