Palermo Cathedral

Built in the Norman period in Palermo’s oldest sacred area, its current appearance is the result of major changes made from the 14th to the late 18th century: while the main façade is enclosed by two tall, slender mullioned towers and small columns, the neoclassical interior has a Latin cross plan, with three naves divided by pillars.
