Seat of the ancient Etruscan city of Populonia, it is an interesting example of an ancient Rasna settlement on the sea: the large necropolis, covering a period ranging from the 7th to the 6th century BC, contains dozens of well preserved tumulus, aedicula and sarcophagus tombs.
