An ancient Phoenician city and former nuragic settlement, Nora later came under Punic and Roman rule. Among its well-preserved ruins, visitors can admire the Punic district, the theatre, the temple of Aesculapius, a place of worship dedicated to Eshmun, mosaics and the “Tophet” complete with steles.
