The Palazzo Pubblico was built between the late 13th century and the first half of the 14th century. It contains invaluable frescoes: “Maestà” and “Guidoriccio da Fogliano” by Simone Martini, the “Good Government” cycle by Ambrogio Lorenzetti, and the “Famous Men” cycle by Taddeo di Bartolo.
