It is one of the monasteries founded by St. Benedict of Nursia, today seat of the cathedral of the same name. The interior is in Neoclassical style: it has a single nave with a barrel vault ceiling with lunettes, with four chapels on the sides, three of which are semi-circular with a marble altar.
