Greek Theatre

The ancient Greek theatre of Taormina (or Tauromenion) is possibly of Roman age. Second in size only to the Greek Theatre of Syracuse, it is carved into the rock and used for performances and concerts. It is famous for its beautiful setting with a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea and of Mount Etna.
