Casamari Abbey

Consecrated in 1217, it is one of Italy’s most remarkable examples of Cistercian Gothic architecture. Its internal layout resembles that of French monasteries, with a double arch entrance. The inner garden has a central quadrangular cloister with four galleries covered by a semi-cylindrical roof.
