One of Italy’s tallest bell towers, it is located in St. Mark’s Square near the front of the basilica: it features a fluted brick shaft and a loggia that surrounds the belfry, topped by a cube and capped with a pyramidal spire, on top of which sits the golden statue of Archangel Gabriel.
