Day 1 :

Lisbon

Arrival in Lisbon, meeting with the guide and coach and transfer to hotel. Check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Lisbon

Breakfast in hotel and meeting with guide. Full day dedicated to a guided visit of the capital of Portugal, starting with a visit to the district of Belém, with the Tower of St Vincent, a symbol of the city, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery, then continuing to the São Pedro de Alcântara gardens with their splendid view of the imposing São Jorge Castle. This is followed by an enjoyable stroll through the traditional quarters of Bairro Alto and Chiado, and after reaching the Rossio Square we explore the hidden streets around the elegant avenues of the Pombaline Baixa. Free time for lunch and continuation of the visit in the afternoon, starting from the monumental Praça do Comércio, the Sé Cathedral, the Santo António Church and the nearby house where St Anthony was born, then continuing to the Park of the Nations. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Lisbon – Porto (316 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure for Porto, arriving in the late morning for check-in at hotel and free time for lunch. Guided visit in the afternoon to the old city centre, with the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Palace, the Clérigos Tower and the port wine cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Porto – Madrid (563 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure for Spain, stopping at Salamanca for a short visit and free time for lunch. Departure in the early afternoon for Madrid, arriving in the evening. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Madrid

Breakfast in hotel. Full day dedicated to a guided visit of the city, capital of the Kingdom of Spain. The visit will include the Gran Via, the Calle de Alcalá, the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor. After stopping for lunch, the visit continues to the Royal Palace (exterior only), and the Prado Museum, which hosts particularly important collections of paintings. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 :

Madrid – Zaragoza – Barcelona (626 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure, stopping halfway along the route for a brief guided visit to the city of Zaragoza, famous for its Nuestra Señora del Pilar Basilica, with free time for lunch and then departure for Barcelona, arriving in the evening. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 :

Barcelona

Breakfast in hotel. Full day dedicated to a guided visit of the capital of Catalonia, one of the most beautiful cities of the entire Mediterranean. The city tour includes the Cathedral, the Barri Gòtic district, the city’s oldest quarter, the lively Rambla, and Montjuïc, with its panorama over the city. After lunch, the visit continues in the afternoon with the works of famous architect Antoni Gaudí, with the Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera), the Casa Batlló, the Sagrada Família, the Park Güell and the Casa Gaudí. Transfer to the port in the evening to board cruise ferry and departure for Italy. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 8 :

Civitavecchia – Rome (80 Km)

Breakfast and lunch on board. Arrival at Civitavecchia in the evening to meet the coach for transfer to Rome. Arrival at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 :

Rome

Breakfast in hotel. Full day dedicated to exploring the “Eternal City”. Visit in the morning to the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Basilica. After stopping for lunch, the visit continues to see Baroque Rome, with Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, etc, and ending with a bus tour to see Ancient Rome, with the exterior of the Imperial Forums and the Coliseum. Return to hotel in evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 :

Rome – Naples – Amalfi Coast (265 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure for the south, stopping at Naples for a guided visit to the city centre, with Castel dell’Ovo, Santa Lucia harbour, the San Carlo Theatre, the Cathedral, the Royal Palace and the Piazza del Plebiscito. Lunch and departure in the afternoon for Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, for a guided visit to Positano with its fine panorama, and to Amalfi. Arrival at hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11 :

Amalfi Coast – Bari – Brindisi (376 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure for a final panoramic view of the coast, then continuing to the Puglia region, stopping briefly to visit the city of Bari and its old centre, and continuing to the port of Brindisi, boarding the cruise ferry for departure to Greece. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 12 :

Patrasso – Athens (222 Km)

Breakfast on board and arrival at the port of Patrasso in the late morning, disembarking to meet the coach and departure for Athens. Arrival in the early afternoon for check-in at hotel and guided visit to the city, including the Syntagma Square, the Greek parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with the Changing of the Guard, the Presidential Palace, Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13 :

Athens – Thessalonica (502 Km)

Breakfast and visit in the morning to the Acropolis, known as the “Sacred Rock”, with the Parthenon Temple, the most famous monument of Ancient Greece. Departure after the visit for Thessalonica, arriving in the afternoon. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14 :

Thessalonica – Istanbul (596 Km)

Breakfast in hotel and departure for Istanbul, arriving in the early afternoon for check-in at hotel. Free time and return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15 :

Istanbul

Breakfast in hotel. Full day dedicated to a guided visit of this splendid city on the shores of the Bosporus, between Europe and Asia. Visits to some of the most beautiful mosques, including the Blue Mosque, a major place of Muslim worship, followed by the Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture, built by order of the Emperor Justinian, and the Topkapi Palace, the residence of the ruling sultans during the Ottoman Empire. The tour continues to the Grand Bazaar, the world’s biggest covered market, and the Dolmabahçe Palace, an enormous marble building and once the residence of Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. Traditional dinner in evening with Ottoman folklore show and return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16 :

Istanbul - Departure

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to airport for departure.
